Mehndi Artist Nimisha Parekh: In the three-day Mehndi Conference “Henna Huddle” held in London from January 24 to 26, 2025, Mehndi Culture founder and Surat-based Mehndi Artist Nimisha Parekh taught the art of innovative Mehndi designs and gave guidance on a career in Mehndi art. Here, the attractive Mehndi designs presented by her in Warli art were highly appreciated.

Warli art highly appreciated

Nimishaben Parekh said that she was invited to teach Mehndi in this three-day conference held at the Hilton Hotel in London. Here I specially taught Warli art in the form of Mehndi. Warli is the folk art of India and I started it many years ago.

Warli art was very much liked in the form of Mehndi as a symbol of Indian culture. Many artists from India and abroad were impressed by Warli art and expressed their desire to work with innovative ideas in this art. This is truly my attempt to promote the word, knowledge, importance and aesthetics to preserve the beautiful Warli culture.

Creative design of captivating flowers taught

In addition, I also taught two more subjects in this event. In which the fundamentals of mehndi which is the basic part of mehndi and is related to the creative aspects of designing. As the second subject, I taught mehndi art in the form of creative design of captivating flowers. I guided creatively about the design art of mehndi in the form of my signature flowers like roses, lotuses etc., which was very much liked by the delegates present here.

The concept was highly appreciated by artists from home and abroad.

He further said that earlier, in the year 2018, he had invited me to teach Warli and Kolam art. Now again, he has invited me for the second time. Participants from various countries like USA, Spain, Netherlands, Prague etc. also came to participate in this event. The attempt to present the age-old Warli art in the form of Mehndi on the international stage was successful. Organizers from other countries also showed interest in showcasing Indian cultural art.
